Steely Dan delivered a thunderous performance to match the weather at PNC Pavilion on July 19th.

As record high temperatures put their punishment on much of the midwest this past week, that didn’t stop music fans from trying to get a reprieve from the energy zapping weather.  The sold out crowd made their way into PNC Pavilion as the sun began to set.  Once the sun was below the horizon, the oppressive 90 degree heat sparked the development of severe thunderstorms.  As soon as Steely Dan took the stage, the thunder and lightning hit the scene, in more ways than one.  Just as lightning lit up the evening sky, Steely Dan ignited the stage with their signature sounds.  Donald Fagen and Walter Becker delivered an incredible night of music.  Those in attendance witnessed a true live musical story performed with precision.  A musical story told with precision and a story fans admire, respect and adore.  You can’t expect anything less from these Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famers.  Donald Fagen’s voice is still spot on, and Walter Becker’s delivery on the axe is exactly what fans expect and come to hear.  The Noble Visions offers our readers with a look into the July 19, 2011 Steely Dan performance at PNC Pavilion in Cincinnati, OH
