Cake is on their “Showroom of Compassion Tour” and played Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center on May 19th

Cake’s diverse and multifaceted approach to the music they produce started in Sacramento California in the early nineties.  The bands first album, Motorcade of Generosity was released in 1994.  The band didn’t garner wide mainstream appreciation until their infamous Fashion Nugget album they put out in 1996.  Cake released their 6th album titled Showroom of Compassion in January of this year.  Showroom of Compassion debuted at #1 on the Billboard Album Chart.  This current album is a refreshing and different look into the evolution of Cake as a band.  Showroom of Compassion is additionally the title of the band’s current tour.  Cake made a stop in Cincinnati on Thursday May 19th and delivered two sets of their distinctive sound to a sold out 2700+ crowd at the Aronoff Center.
