The Drew Emmitt Band brought their energetic and innovative music to Cincinnati on Sunday June 6th.

Drew Emmitt is well-known as one of the founding members of the widely popular band Leftover Salmon.  Known for his unique and distinctive approach to playing the mandolin, Drew is also well versed on a wide range of stringed instruments.  His third solo and most recent release titled  Long Road, is a great look into a musician that has called the road home for well over 25 years.  Drew Emmitt and The Drew Emmitt Band made a stop in Cincinnati on June 6, 2010 at Play by Play Cafe in Silverton.  Sunday nights aren’t usually a great night to go out and see music in Cincinnati, but this particular night was one that could be counted on by dedicated music fans.  Drew Emmitt and his band took the stage around 11pm after local bluegrass favorites, The  Rumpke Mountain Boys ended their opening set.   The Drew Emmitt Band consists of Drew Emmitt on vocals, mandolin and guitar.  Tyler Grant is featured on vocals and guitar, Eric Thorin on bass, Andy Thorn on banjo and Chris Misner on the drums.  The band played till early Monday morning delivering the crowd a wonderful night of incredible music.  Drew Emmitt plays with Leftover Salmon at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival next on June 18, 2010.
